Born in Portsmounth Virginia and raised in Utica, New York where he resides today, Zachary L. Engram (Triumph) grew up with a passion for music that seemed to be apparent from the time he was in the whom. His father played the electric guitar and mother played the acuostic guitar and sang. Playing the drums since the age of four, at his church, Triumph's musical abilities continued to develope throughout every phase of life into a powerful tool that God could use to edify those who will listen. T.W. spent his early years living in a traumatic environment. By age 10 he had be been to more schools, lived in more homeless shelters, and with more people than he could count. Triumph had also been across the United States and back homeless from Utica NY to Seattle WA and many places in between.
At the end of 1999, tormented with issues both older and more mature than himself, Triumph began to seek The Lord with a strong desire to be saved. From October 1999 when he was baptised up to the mid-summer of the year 2000, God spoke to Triumph in a series of visions and dreams which warned him of the importance of his soul's salvation. The dreams also showed him prophetically, the events that would transpire over the coarse of the next few years of his life, and the second coming of Christ. Triumph got saved that year in July but soon went astray, it woul be another full year before Triumph's heart would return to God in total submission willingly. "I felt like God was after me, and he was. I was having these dreams, demonic attacks, I feared I would miss his second coming because of the dreams, and I wasn't sure how I was going to live a holy life for him. I wanted to but my flesh was still flesh you know. I was full of questions, anger, sadness, fears, and insecurities, so I ran." Finally, after another year of running in vain trying to suppress the truth inside and avoid God, Zachary came to himself realizing that God really loved him and wanted all of him. For God, was calling him! " I mean, I always knew God didn't want to hurt me. I had experienced other times where God would deal with me", said Zachary. "Everything seemed to be happening so fast. I was changing, well, I wanted to change, I guess at the time I just didn't understand what more he wanted from me, you know the call. I just wanted to be saved, live right, and get help with my trouble cluttered life. But see, God wanted more from me. I got tired of running, I wasn't going no where anyways. Then Dee passed, my grandma Minnie Newman passed, just like the dream I saw a year earlier. A prophet even came to the house that passed April and confirmed what I saw, I don't even think he fully understood what he was prophecying. That's when I realized yet again, God is real. He is the TRUTH! Ever since I stood in front of my grandma's body in that casket, I been on the run again. This time I ran right back to God and started running the race he set before me. And yeah, I struggled, sometimes still do, but the difference is now He's in me and I'm in Him. I been resurrected! I'm all His!"
Spiritual growth began happening speedily. Triumph began to read God's Word and apply it to his life's daily situations. Fasting and prayer also became a regular part of the young man's life as he grew closer to the Lord. By this time is was 2002 Triumph was going into high school. He had began recieving dreams of instruction, visions of what his wife would be like, his first son, the ministry, his music career, and many more things that would come to pass shortly in the years to ahead. In April of 2003 which was Triumph's tenth grade year, his family chose to leave Utica, NY. Had no other choice but to leave with them. The move was short, but to where? Like so many other moves Triumph had experienced, this one landed the family on the street homeless. "I guess it wasn't so bad considering the fact that I was used to it by now. Atleast we had the car to sleep in, sometimes hotels to. I wasn't as frustrated this time because I actually had Jesus in my life so He would comfort me. Still at times I would feel like, why? Why? I'm saved now living all I can. Why? We would sleep all over, at highway rest stops, on Brooklyn streets, in Jersy, Philly, and other places. We would witness on the streets of the same including Baltimore, Washington D.C. at the capital, the rest of NYC, in the subways, on the streets, in the parking lots, at malls, and ect. I can't remember how many time we were threatened and kicked off properties. Like many other days in my past I wasn't sure were my next meal was coming from, when the next time I could take a shower, get a hair cut, or wash my clothes, or have a home. I'll tell ya what though, GOD brought us through. My sister and I, we just kept fasting and praying. I could feel God's comfort all the time, the anointing was very heavy upon and within me during this critical time in my life. The streets, it's where the ministry God gave me began. On May 30th, in my homeless state, I preached my first message in the pulpit at church. I don't even think at the time people were aware that we were homeless".
Eventually the family was taken in by two sisters, a pastor and a prophetess in Brownesville Brooklyn in New York City. Proceeding a brief stay, the family returned home to Utica NY. All returned except for Triumph. "Well it's simple", says T.W. "The Lord led me to stay and be a part of the ministry until He said other wise". August 11, 2003 at the age of 15 Triumph to began to take part in ministry at El Shaddai Ministries where he would serve as Music Director, Sunday School teacher, minister, and as one of the pastors three armorbearers. At this ministry based in the Marcus Garvey Houses, Triumph began to rap the Word of God to the youth and everone else who would listen. He began writing songs, making beats, and teaching instruments to other youth within the ministry. Many priceless lessons and opportunies where given to Triumph in The Big Apple as he played the drums at many churches for many events, played drums in the early days of now recording artist Terri Cann Adofo, attended a Christian Academy where he grew in education according to a Christian perspective and grow in his music abilities. Finally in the spring of 2005, God began to deal with his servant that it was time to go back to upstate New York. So on July 5,2005 after much prayer and assurance, Triumph packed what he could, took the subway to Penn Station, hopped aboard Amtrak, and did as God instructed.
Since being back in Utica NY, Triumph has become not only a better rapper and musician, but he has also become a professional audio engineer who specializes in beats/instrumental and mixing/mastering services. He has served faithfully at ministies throughout the city, has become known for playing the Bass Guitar, and preaching the Gospel. In 2009 Zachary L. Engram married his wonderful wife and help from God Ashley Engram who is also a skilled musician and powerful vocalist for the Lord. God has blessed the couple to give birth to three healthy children and currently have a set of twins due in the coming months. "Since coming back to Utica when I was going on 18, I've had times when I've made mistakes, gotten discouraged, distracted, and sometimes felt like I was forsaken wanting to just die. BUT as the process of time continues, GOD has and is infallibly bringing EVERYTHING to pass that he told me from the beginning until now.....Hallelujah...I've been through all types of abuse, acute depression, bolidy afflictions, homelessness, been motherless, without my biological father, fearful, disobedient, hated, had curses spoken aloud over my life before the congregation, and more times than not rejected by my own. BUT, the scriptures (thank GOD which ALWAYS causes us to TRIUMPH in CHRIST) . They also say that He teaches myhands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. He has given me the sheild of His salvation, His right hand holds me up, and His gentleness has made me great. He has enlarged my steps unders me, so that my feet did not slip. This is why I go by Triumph a.k.a. Warlord".
In 2010 T.W. officially launched a record label named Triumph Productions. This young man continues to lead his family as he is led by God on that narrow path that leads to eternal life.
